| Our Mission Our mission is to serve as the premier information site for scholars interested in evolutionary thought in the social sciences. Our Policies Because we are a scholarly web site, we have the policy of not making any money by referring visitors to other commercial web sites. Our mission is to be an independent source of valuable information and any commercial tie-ins would call this goal into question. This is why we do not link any of the books that we review or feature to an internet bookseller who would pay a commission. Mail Contact: Professor J. Navigating this Web This website allows you to search for any content by typing words in the search window in the top right corner. When the search engine identifies a particular page as containing the word that you searched for, open that page and then use the control-F keyboard command (command-F on the Mac) to locate the word on the page. If you want to search for another occurrence of the word on the page, use the control-G keyboard command (command-G on the Mac). You can also do this by putting the mouse cursor on the edit menu and by scrolling down to the Find and Find Again commands. This word-search procedure is particularly useful for identifying information in the bibliography. If you don't see the content that you expect on a certain page, click the refresh button in Microsoft Explorer or the reload button in Netscape. The website is best viewed with Microsoft Explorer because it is developed in Microsoft Frontpage 2000. Trouble Translating Foreign Web Pages? If you find a page in a foreign language that you cannot read, Altavista's on-line translator will save your day. If you just give the URL address to it, it returns the translated web page. You will be amazed. |
